A conservative legal group that has been alleging an ISIS camp was set up a few miles south of El Paso, Texas, in Mexico, is taking its story one step further and now soaking up credit for “thwarting” a “looming attack” (presumably stemming from that very camp?) on the United States.
Judicial Watch, and its founder Larry Klayman, have been pushing that story for some time, despite a laundry list of departments and offices officially stating very much to the contrary. The Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Department of State, the Texas Department of Public Safety and the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, not to mention the U.S. Northern Command and the Mexican government, all state unequivocally that Klayman and Judicial Watch’s claims are false. Additionally, investigative journalists who have traveled to the purported location have all come up with little more than cactus stories and tumbleweed dreams.
